General awareness is not something you can expect to master in a day but from an exam point of view, if you spend time consistently, you can perform well in relatively less time as compared to Quantitative Aptitude. This section is very important because this is the only section which can be attempted quickly i.e. in 7-8 minutes and at the same time, decent marks can be scored in this section if prepared well. The questions in this section are designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers. The scope of quantitative ability is clearly defined and is limited to class 10th level mathematics. Tier-II of the Combined Graduate Level Examination -2018 will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice.

Paper III: Junior Statistical Investigator Syllabus

SSC CGL Tier 3 Syllabus 2018

The exam syllabus of SSC CGL Tier III is much different from previous above. It will be written examination (offline mode) in which Precis Writing/Essay/Formal Letter/Informal Letter are asked. The time duration for the Tier III exam is 60 minutes.

Important Note:
(i): Paper-I & II are compulsory for all the categories of posts.
(ii): Paper-III is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Junior Statistical Officer.
(iii): Paper IV is only for those candidates who apply for the post of Assistant Audit Officer.
(iv): Candidates opting for the post of Compiler and/or Statistical Investigator Gr. II and Assistant Audit Officer must ensure that they possess the requisite qualification as mentioned above. Commission reserves the right to take appropriate action against applicants who do not possess the requisite eligibility while opting for the post of Compiler and/or Statistical Investigator Gr. II and Assistant Audit Officer.
